I have seen so many wonderful and creative ideas all over the internet for using recycled and repurposed items in and around the garden. You have probably seen many of these already, but maybe this post will get the creative juices flowing!

Plant markers

Gutter planter

Pallet planter

5 gallon bucket planter

Tire planters

Pallet lawn furniture

2 liter bottle sprinkler

Garden lights (Made from water bottles)

Gazing ball (From old CD’s)

Cold frame from old windows

Bird bath (From old lamps)

Greenhouse (From old windows)

Baby swing (From a 5 gallon bucket)

I could do this forever! We are currently still working on our gutter lettuce planter. So much inspiration can be found on the internet that I am having a hard time choosing just one project at a time…Happy gardening!

  1. This is a wonderful post – filled with incredibly inspiring ideas! Thank you so much, not only for presenting these great ideas but also including the source so a person can search further to learn more. I love the bottle waterer (great for soaking trees!) and am crazy about the gutter-gardens. Hubby and I are planning on building a pergola off the back of the house next year and I am imagining a gutter-garden wall down one side – not unlike that great photo you’ve included. Thanks again for a terrific post. Let’s continue to do all we can to keep things out of landfills. Cheers, Gina

  2. I love pergolas and wish we had the room! I do hope you will post lots of pictures!
